Because we all have a role to play in preparing for the future, La Cave du Vieil Armand is committed!

We have always taken great care of our land, our people, the environment, and the flora and fauna that surround us.

This conversion to organic farming began in 2016 with some of our most committed, passionate, and dedicated winegrowers.

Discover our organic wines and crémants, an authentic taste and smell experience that respects nature.

These vintages reveal a perfect harmony between freshness and salinity. Each unique grape variety brings its own distinct fruitiness and complexity, creating fine wines.

AOC Crémant d'Alsace

Produced using traditional methods, our Crémants d'Alsace are made from single grape varieties or harmonious blends.

Each grape variety brings its own aromas and characteristics to the wine, allowing for a wide variety of styles and aromatic profiles.

Our Crémants are distinguished by their freshness, finesse, and elegance.
They offer delicate aromas of fruit, flowers, and toast, which blend harmoniously on the palate.

Their liveliness, creamy texture, and delicate bubbles make them refreshing and pleasant to drink.

AOC Alsace - Origine Range

Origine highlights the unique characteristics of the seven Alsatian grape varieties that are the pride of our region.

Each bottle in our range is a testament to a preserved wine-growing heritage, the passionate work of each of our winegrowers, and the very essence of our Alsatian terroir.

Origine focuses on the fruity and floral aromas of our wines.
The vinification process preserves freshness and liveliness to produce light and delicious wines.

AOC Alsace - Expression Range

Our Expression range invites you on a journey to the heart of Alsace's terroirs, where a passion for winegrowing blends harmoniously with the finesse of carefully selected grape varieties.

This range focuses on four iconic grape varieties, carefully chosen for their character and their ability to fully express their terroir.

These gastronomic wines reveal complex aromas in a subtle balance between power and elegance.

AOC Alsace - Grands Crus

The Ollwiller Grand Cru
Located in Wuenheim, a 10-minute walk from our estate, the Ollwiller Grand Cru faces southeast, at an altitude of between 260m and 330m.
Our wines derive their character from the fine-textured marl-sandstone soil.
Destroyed many times over, this vineyard has risen from the ashes.
The age of the vines, access to a mineral-rich limestone base, and controlled yields are wonderful factors for producing great wines from this Grand Cru.
These wines are particularly fine and elegant, with great aging potential.

The Spiegel Grand Cru
Located halfway up the hillside on the two wine-growing areas of Guebwiller and Bergholtz, the Spiegel Grand Cru has been known for over 50 years.
On a moderate slope ranging from 260m to 315m above sea level, it develops notes of dried fruit and fruit paste which, after a few years, reveal a mineral nuance.

The Zinnkoepfle Grand Cru
Zinnkoepflé means “sun mountain.”
Located in the municipalities of Westhalten and Soultzmatt, this high-altitude terroir, the highest Grand Cru in Alsace, is characterized by a Mediterranean microclimate.
Its south-west to south-east orientation allows the grapes to develop richness and overripeness while preserving their aromatic finesse.

AOC Alsace - Château Ollwiller

Château Ollwiller is located in the middle of a terroir that obtained its classification when the Grands Crus were first defined in 1983. Facing south-southeast, it enjoys long hours of sunshine, from sunrise to sunset, sheltered from the prevailing winds.

The estate is one of only two châteaux in Alsace that can sell its wine under the “Château” designation.

The exposure and geology of the estate produce wines of very high quality, with good liveliness, fruitiness, beautiful aromatics, and a minerality characteristic of Ollwiller.
It is also the château that gave its name to the Ollwiller Grand Cru.

AOC Alsace - Specialties

House Signature

Selective plots, blends of several terroirs, bold vinification techniques;
our special vintages are designed to delight your taste buds.

AOC Alsace - Late Harvest

Prestigious mentions

These prestigious wines are harvested when overripe, several weeks after the end of the traditional harvest.

In addition to the identity of the grape variety and its aromatic character, they gain power from the phenomenon of concentration and the development of Botrytis Cinerea.

The berries, completely covered in noble rot, give the wines maximum concentration in terms of both aroma and sugar.
