An Involved and Engaged Winery
In 2019, Vieil Armand Wine Estate obtained the High Environmental Value level 3 label, a guarantee of sustainable vineyard practices. This certification encourages our winegrowers to preserve biodiversity and soil in order to maintain life and fertility of our vineyards. Working the vineyard in this way, develops a positive synergie between natural environment and benefical fauna.
Our High Environmental Value vineyards is based on the concept of agro-ecology. Our winegrowers are using functionalities of the ecosystem in order to obtain a fertile soil to allow the fauna around to protect their cultures. It's guarantees also a reduction of the pressure in our environment.

All we have a role to play for preparation of future. The Vieil Armand Wine Estate is committed! We have always taken great care of our soils, the people, the environment and the flora and fauna that surround us. This conversion to Organic Agriculture began more than 7 years ago, with some of our convinced and passionated winegrowers.
In order to encourage biodiversity and microbial life in our vineyards, we have an abundance of trees and plants as well as installations of beehives and nest boxes for birds and bats. Eco-pasturing is also on the way with flocks of sheep during the winter. An alternative to chemical weeding in order to preserve our soil.
